Hear What Caused a Woman to Stop Working with Atlantic and Roc-A-Fella Records, Def Jam and Quincy Jones

Order by the Case or as a Gift Basket at JellyBasket.com

(PRWeb) January 28, 2007 -- Why would Georgia Woodbine, a woman who has worked with Quincy Jones, Roc-A-Fella, Atlantic, Def Jam and PolyGram records, leave the world of mega stars to devote her time to writing, teaching and community? What would cause her to turn her back on fortune and fame and take a completely different path? Georgia sits down with CBK's Denise Turney, host of the premiere radio program Off The Shelf, and discusses these and other pertinent topics during her exclusive one-hour interview that airs January 30 at www.blakeradio.com.

During the feature, Turney, known for her penetrating and intuitive approach, asks Georgia why she walked away from a world of mega bucks, celebrity and musical acclaim. "I was chasing my success," Georgia admits. "I attended all the major events. I worked hard." In fact, Georgia churned on all cylinders, even to the point of distancing herself from some very important personal relationships. After a certain point, Georgia tells Turney that she had to stop and look at what she was doing. It was this introspection that caused Georgia to pen the book How To Make Big Bucks Without Selling Your Soul. After Georgia became a writer, she went from chasing fortune and fame, to creating her business, Spiritual Focus Publishing in order to teach others how to make money as well as live a joyous and blessed life instead of a life of high stress and constant grind. If one didn't know better, chunks of Georgia's life seem to support the less than admirable traits Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep dress up in The Devil Wears Prada. About this Georgia is not reticent. She says that she has learned that it really is possible to be successful without losing yourself, without making sacrifices that take you away, piece by piece, from who you really are.

Off The Shelf's founder and host, Denise Turney, is the author of the new book Long Walk Up, a book that tells the story of a young girl's triumphant journey from abject poverty. Long Walk Up will be in stores March 2007.

To catch into the exclusive interview with Georgia Woodbine, tune into CBK's Off The Shelf (www.blakeradio.com) on January 30.
